Would you like to walk on the Great Wall of China, visit a Belgian brewery, relax on an exotic beach in Bali or maybe experience Tokyo's notorious urban pulse? An international week can include everything from a trip to the Estonian countryside to partying at Amsterdam's coolest night clubs!
LundaEkonomerna continously receives invitations from schools of economics and universities around the world who are members of the so-called International Week network. During each of the universities' international week, students from different parts of the world meet to socialize, experience the host country and to exchange cultural experiences. These unique weeks are filled with various social activities and usually consist of company visits, sightseeing, visits to the university, dinners, parties and other events that are very appreciated. As a visiting student you principally only have one item of expenditure, and that is for traveling to and from the host country. Here, LundaEkonomerna pay a travel contribution of 30% of the ticket price, up to 1500 kr. Otherwise, the week is in most cases paid for, as accommodation, meals and entrance fees are financed by the organizing university. The only requirements to apply is to study at Lund University and be a member of LundaEkonomerna.

The application process is as follows:
- Send your CV and a letter of application, about half an A4 page, where you motivate why you are a good representative for LundaEkonomerna and about your interest in the host country.
- After each deadline, you will be informed if you have been nominated as a representative for LundaEkonomerna for the international week that you have applied for, of which your application is forwarded to the host university together with a motivation from LundaEkonomerna.
- The host university informs LundaEkonomerna whether the nominated representatives have been admitted to the event. Sometimes more than only one representative may be admitted depending on the availability.
- LundaEkonomerna informs you whether you have been admitted or not. In almost all cases, we manage to send at least one representative, so don't hesitate to apply.
If you have been admitted, you may plan the week in you calendar and book a flight or train ticket to your destination.
Don't miss this unique opportunity to experience new, or perhaps already familiar latitudes, while meeting students from all over the world! Travel stories from previous trips can be found at the Swedish version under "Hämtbara Filer".

Helsinki, Finland 2nd October – 9th October 2010
"The Association of Economics Students in Helsinki welcomes you to experience an amazing week in Helsinki. We guarantee that you’ll have the time of your life! Our theme will be “Competitive Advantages of Human Resources”, because we see the role of HR especially important in the times of economic uncertainty. Well-chosen and well-rewarded personnel will stay satisfied and motivated, and will thus serve as a competitive advantage for the company. Our aim is to give a broader view of the importance of human resources. The participating firms represent a wide range of well-known Finnish businesses. They will share and discuss their best practices with us in forms of workshops, company visits, and seminar lectures. During the week you have a chance to interactively learn from the experts of the field as well as from your international fellow students. Besides the company cooperation, we will introduce you to the Finnish way of living: we will visit a cottage, explore the spectacular Finnish nature (snow guarantee!) and get to know our beautiful capital of Helsinki. The program also includes participation in several traditional student events and an elegant cocktail party. After a week, you’ll leave Finland with a bunch of new international friends and life-long memories."
